Today, Google announced a new software product designed to make flatbed scanners a thing of the past. It’s name is PhotoScan.
PhotoScan works in much the same way as other app scanners do, but with a slight twist. Instead of taking a single photo and straightening it, PhotoScan combines a series of shots and stitches them together. This results in a high resolution scan that is free of glare and other image artifacts.
You can download PhotoScan from the Apple App Store, or from the Google Play Store. To learn more about PhotoScan, visit Google’s product page.
